The group was unable to make a significant impact within the United States but earned huge international recognition, notably in Japan. Ford began a solo heavy-metal career following the breakup of her band in 1979. Ford learned to sing followed by her debut album as a solo artist, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin On the Edge'. Both the albums did not get much attention, and Ford was a bit absent from the rock world for a few years. The smash-hit album Lita was released in 1989 was the trigger for her return. The single 'Kiss Me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. However, her success didn't last long since she went under the radar for many years. Her return came when she released 'Black' in 1995, followed by 'Wicked wonderland' 15 years later. Her latest album, Time Capsule was released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
